General Manager - Fitness Business
Job Description:

- The organization has recently launched a new smart wearable category and is looking to hire a General Manager (GM) to build and grow this category. The GM for the business would be responsible for the revenue and profitability of the company. Part of the requirement will be setting up the category and managing the workflows from sourcing to distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a deep understanding of the product/category as well as the key customer demographic that it appeals to Planning (AOP) and executing as per the plan.
- Identify and execute the following product launches basis the trends in the market.
- Stay up to date with market development and deliver a portfolio of products and services with continuously pushing the boundaries of technology.
- Identify the right supply strategy and execution across channels.
- Ensure continuous margin improvements for the business while delivering top-notch product quality and a high degree of customer experience.
- He/she must be an effective leader and communicator working with our most important partners, as -well as with internal colleagues and groups.
- He/she will have strong business judgment with a track record of strong ownership values and relationship management skills.
- Should be able to create a high-power and engaged team to deliver business goals
Ideal Candidate :
- A deep understanding of the smart wearable category - from sourcing to distribution
- Work experience is preferred (5-8 years) in category management
- Strong business development experience - the experience of building partnerships across multiple marketplaces and vendors
- Strong problem-solving ability, analytical and operational design mindset
- Thinking out of the box, capabilities to visualize the future fit
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, influencing abilities
- Creative bent of mind and ability to think strategically
- Ability to work independently and manage a team
- Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Experience in project ownership and using customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/PG degree is a must
- Experience working in smart wearables/ other consumer electronics category
