GM/ AVP - Procurement (Services / Contracts)
Responsibilities:
- To identify potential vendors/ subcontractors with support of construction & project team at Site, business development team of various regions, evaluate their capabilities and short list/ on board them for construction, installation & commissioning activities.
- Negotiation with vendors for price, commercial and legal terms & conditions; drafting & issue of contracts
- Collaborate with internal departments, including legal, commercial, and construction/ projects to develop procurement strategies
- Ensure compliance with company, client/ customer policies, process and applicable land laws, regulations
- Support to bidding team for providing estimate for various tenders/ bids
- Review and analyze contract terms, identifying potential risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance in coordination with site construction/ project team, ensuring that all parties fulfill their obligations and contractual requirements.
- Resolve any contractual disputes or issues that may arise, working closely with stakeholders to find mutually beneficial solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in contracts management, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, contract law, and contract management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors/ subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in contract drafting and negotiation techniques, ensuring that contracts are comprehensive, legally sound, and aligned with business objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines as per project schedules
- Proficient in using ERP/ SAP
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, best practices, and regulations.
- Familiarity with government contracting and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of legal and commercial terms commonly used in contracts.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
