Should have mainly handled Break - Bulk Shipments & Chartering of Ships
Job Description -
1. Chartering of Vessels
2. Handling Break Bulk Shipments
3. Liasoning with Customs
4. Liasoning with Port Trust
5. Liasoning with Shipping Company
6. Co-ordination with Plant, Transporters, Custom House Agent & Shipping Line, Stevedores.
7. Monitoring of Imports & Export Shipment on day-to-day basis & Handling the clearance of Import Shipment & Export Shipment in absence of concerned person in the Department.
8. Keeping track FEMA, Exim Policy, Tax Benefit on Exports.
1. CUSTOMS :
- To interact with Customs officials for any query raised at the time of Assessment of Bill of Entries or Shipping Bills.
- To interact with Customs officials for Conversion of Shipping Bill.
- To interact with Customs officials for Issuance of Release Advices to Mundra/Air cargo.
2. DOCKS :
- Visit docks in case of any objection/query raised by officials at the time of examination of the cargo.
- Follow up with Shipping Company/Agents and fleet owners for loading/unloading the cargo.
- Visit to docks for inspection of Vessel & at the time of Loading of Export Cargo. (Break Bulk)
- Visit to docks for inspection at the time of Import Discharge of cargo & Delivery to Plant. (Break Bulk)
- Follow of with Clearing Agent regarding Receipt, Carting & Shifting of Export Cargo & Out of charge & Daily Delivery Status of Import Cargo.
3. INLAND & AIR LOGISTICS:
- Negotiate with transport vendors for Road/ Surface Logistics (Trailers/Trucks).
- Movement from Plant to Port & vice versa.
- Fulfillment of logistic requirements.
- Ensuring smooth functioning of logistics.
4. OTHER :
- Follow up with Shipping Company for Vessel Berthing, Loading details, Bill of lading.
- Follow up with Transporters for day-to-day position of vehicles.
- Follow up with Octroi Agents for details of Vehicle Receipt at Naka, for closure of - N Form .
- Provide supporting documents towards the preparation of documents for filing the application for appearing before Settlement Commission, CESTAT, Commissioner Appeal & other along with the legal advisor.
- Submission of relevant documents of (export and import to concern department)
- Exposure to DGFT would be an added advantage
