Role Overview:
- The General Manager (GM) will serve as the visionary leader for EACC, responsible for its overall operations, strategy, and growth. The role requires strong strategic planning, financial oversight, marketing, operational excellence, and artistic engagement.
- The GM will act as the key liaison between internal departments and external partners, ensuring that the organization meets its mission of becoming a premier destination for arts and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans across all departments.
- Align creative initiatives with business goals and emerging industry trends.
- Lead partnership development with artists, cultural institutions, and sponsors.
2. Leadership & Team Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations including exhibitions, events, and performances.
- Inspire and mentor teams while fostering a collaborative culture.
- Monitor performance and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
3. Decision-Making & Analysis:
- Analyze market trends and business data to make informed decisions.
- Identify opportunities, manage risks, and ensure problem-solving through data-backed approaches.
4. Financial Management:
- Oversee budgets, optimize operational costs, and plan for financial sustainability.
- Handle contract negotiations and financial planning for key activities.
5. Operational Efficiency:
- Supervise sales, marketing, IT, operations, and creative functions.
- Prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership.
6. Communication & Collaboration:
- Build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Lead internal and external collaborations for project execution.
7. Policy & Compliance:
- Design and implement operational policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Cascade management decisions efficiently across departments.
8. Technology & Innovation:
- Integrate modern tech into creative showcases and optimize operations.
- Lead initiatives involving digital and immersive technologies.
9. Business Development:
- Promote EACC offerings to clients, collaborators, and sponsors.
- Lead audience engagement, partnership growth, and revenue expansion.
10. Marketing & Branding:
- Lead brand strategy, digital marketing, and campaign execution.
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual and communication platforms.
11. Client & Content Management:
- Manage client relationships, gather feedback, and lead content development.
- Review and approve deliverables to maintain quality standards.
12. Artistic Direction:
- Curate and direct cultural collections and exhibitions.
- Blend creative expression with strategic planning.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- 10 - 15 years in General Management or equivalent leadership roles.
- Bachelors in Business; Masters preferred.
- Strong financial, strategic, and operational acumen.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record in marketing, branding, and arts/culture management.
- Proficient in design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva.
- Familiarity with the cultural landscape and a passion for creative leadership.
Special Requirements:
- Flexible with working hours, including evenings/weekends.
- Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed.
