GL Manager / Assistant manager

Position Summary - Looking for a high performance self-driven individual to handle entire gamut of GL Accounting, monthly closure of books and reporting & statutory compliance w.r.t Audits.

GL Manager -

- Timely closing of books on monthly basis & submission of results to the group under IND AS.

- Design and implement key financial controls over financial reporting and enhance the overall financial governance system through proactive actions. Understand and apply knowledge of accounting policies, standards and concepts relating to revenue recognition, COGS, cost accruals, fixed assets accounting, intercompany transactions

- Focal point for quarterly / annual audit. Ensuring that the timelines with respect to Statutory and Internal audit is timely met. No adverse audit observations.

- Monthly preparation of BS and P&L schedules reconciling to the books and presenting the same to senior management and taking corrective actions if any

- Detect accounting anomalies while conducting financial reviews to ensure that reported numbers are free from error at the month, quarter and year end. Provide important insights into accounting gaps.

- Perform accounting reviewer role for the entity and ensure that end to end financial reporting is both timely and accurate along with calling out material misstatements. Monthly review of Balance sheet and preparation of schedules.

- Coordinate with transactional processing teams - accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, towards ensuring both timeliness and accuracy of transactions in sub-ledgers

- Standardize and streamline processes across different locations.

- Ensure appropriate responses are made to audit observations and corrective and preventive actions are taken.

- Manage relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders with the objective of meeting delivery as per the agreed parameters

- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and undertake continuous improvement projects

- Experience in driving Finance Transformations projects. Have worked on Finance automation projects and is able to drive automation

- Experience of handling audits with big 4 and leading statutory audit documentation

Skills required

- Good knowledge of IND AS, working knowledge of IFRS

- Good knowledge of ERP systems, Navision will be added advantage

- Good knowledge of MS Office skills

- Should be good in articulation, should be able to explain issues, variances to senior management

- Should be a team player

Qualification: Chartered Accountant preferable from Manufacturing background with 4-7 yrs of work experience
