Role Summary/Purpose : The Commercial Finance Manager is responsible to develop solutions to deliver outcomes &amp; drive growth while managing company risk / reward, impacting deal strategy including product choice, pricing for Wind Turbines &amp; Services, and value proposition modeling. In addition you will provide strong local finance support for Turnkey Execution to drive project execution excellence and improve GE's ability to deliver on its commitment to customer in a complex project execution. Essential Responsibilities : Key Deliverable of this role would include the following functions 1. Commercial Finance a. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. b. Lead the - Financing- relationship with Banks, Sales Project Finance and Energy Financial services team while leading the business model creation with Commercial, Legal and Tax team for new Go to Markets c. Complete ownership and support around the costing, financial &amp; tax modeling for the bids while ensuring completeness, with accuracy, in capturing all financials, tax &amp; risk aspects of the bid. d. Partner with commercial operations in translation and incorporation of the terms into the overall deal economics with extensive financial analytics, scenario analysis and running sensitivities with various parameters and structures e. Cross functional engagement and finance support on various aspects of the deals f. Execute and validate pricing and commercial finance terms with various potential partners of GE. g. Engage in process set up to ensure smooth transition of deals from order to project execution team. h. Execute ad-hoc finance requirement that might be assigned as per business requirement and be flexible and willing to stretch, given the nature of business and volume of bids in pipeline. 2. Budgets &amp; Cost Control a. Maintain, assess and report schedules, key contractual milestones, cost estimates and actual costs. b. Prepare and maintain Turnkey cost budgeting and support PM to align project budgets to as sold c. Checks, Question and controls proactivity cost movements, compare/s with current scope and progress as well as with previous forecast. d. Communicates schedule and cost status/forecasts/risk to functional cost owners and drives/supports risk mitigation e. Updates changes in appropriate systems to ensure costs are updated and compare with productivity factors and accuracy of estimates 3. Compliance a. Ensures compliance to the GE Global Standard process for Project Controls and PRB Recommendations b. Analyze schedule and cost trends and provide forecasted cost and schedules to the site team and leadership team including highlighting Risks &amp; Red Flags 4. Payments Control a. Prepare and control Payment schedules and inform stakeholder proactivity to ensure timelines for payments are made. The payments need to adhere to Term Sheet + Contract Milestones 5. Project Plan &amp; Financial Reporting &amp; Contract Management a. Collaborate with 3rd parties and sub-contractors on project cost and schedules. b. Presents all financial data in a transparent way, attends project and management review to present cost status. c. Provides change order calculations to ensure accurate schedule &amp; cost estimates d. Aligns with Project Finance Controller to ensure reconciliation takes place between approved project financial data and books. e. Support project close out and claims. f. Provide Cost supporting for Turnkey Bids g. Check the documentation to support all financial transaction. 6. Regularly travel to sites and sit with Project teams Qualifications/Requirements : a. CA / MBA Finance / degree in related disciplines from an accredited university or college b. Knowledge of accounting / regulatory / tax policies and practices c. Effective analytical skills, Clear thinking / problem solving ability / d. 8 - 10 Years of experience in commercial finance, regulatory functions, compliance controllership. (Preferred) Desired Characteristics : 1. Ability to manage ambiguous situations in a complex environment. 2. Expert in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. 3. Self-Starter, proactive, ability to work independently with minimal direction 4. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with senior level management. 5. Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones 6. Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with delegation of authority. 7. Experience using independent thought processes to plan ahead, process information, maintain workflow and anticipate future needs of the team 8. Ability to influence &amp; lead cross functional teams
