- We are seeking a passionate Sales & Business Development Leader to drive the expansion and growth of GEMSL's Project Business.

Position Overview:

- As the Head of Sales and Business Development for Project Business at GEMSL, you will be pivotal in driving the growth and expansion of our project business.

- Based in Noida, you will lead the sales and business development efforts, formulate and execute strategic and annual business plans, and manage a high-performing team.

- Your role will require a strong sales background, financial acumen, project management skills, and in-depth knowledge of engineering and construction in the retail outlet sector.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Electronics & Electrical/Electrical Engineering.

- Around 15 years of experience, with a proven track record in leading project business, P&L, sales, and business development, preferably in the Retail Outlet Construction segment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and business development strategy for the project business Petrol Station Construction and or retail outlet construction.

- Formulate and implement the Annual Business Plan, setting clear goals for sales, revenue, order booking, and collections.

Business Development:

- Identify, target, and engage potential customers to drive business growth.

- Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions.

Market Insights & Networking:

- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.

- Represent GEMSL at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to showcase our project offerings and expand our network.

Sales Execution:

- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and negotiate agreements with clients.

- Coordinate with project teams to ensure on-time delivery, meeting quality expectations, and client satisfaction.

Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and manage the Sales & Business Development team, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, and ensuring goal alignment.

- Oversee the team's performance, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring:

- Provide regular updates to clients, stakeholders, and executives on sales, business development, project status, invoicing, collections, and other key metrics.

- Analyze performance data to refine strategies and achieve business objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Must-Have Sales Skills:

Sales Leadership:

- Proven experience in leading and scaling sales teams with a focus on business development in the engineering and construction sector.

- Strong ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals.

Client Relationship Management:

- Expertise in building and maintaining relationships with high-level stakeholders and decision-makers.

- Track record of successfully negotiating contracts and closing large-scale deals.

Market Penetration:

- Demonstrated ability to enter new markets, identify opportunities, and drive growth in competitive environments.

Project Sales Experience:

- Extensive experience in selling engineering and construction projects, particularly in retail outlet sectors like Gasoline, CNG, LNG stations, and EV charging stations and retail commercial outlets.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil/Electronics & Electrical/Electrical Engineering.

- Around 15 years of experience, with a proven track record in leading project business, P&L, sales, and business development, preferably in the Retail Outlet Construction segment.

Technical Knowledge:

- Deep understanding of engineering principles related to construction projects, including knowledge of BOCW and industry regulations.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Office for analyzing sales data, forecasting, and generating comprehensive reports.

- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Projects, with a strong understanding of Lean and Agile methodologies.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards to ensure compliance in all project dealings.

Prefer to Have:

Advanced Education: An MBA or other relevant advanced degree in business or management.

Global Experience: Overseas experience in managing projects, particularly in South Asian or Middle Eastern countries.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in Project Management (PMP), Sales Management, or Business Development.

Innovative Approach: Experience with digital sales tools, CRM systems, and innovative business development techniques.
