Job Title: Lean Manufacturing Consultant

Base Location: Bangalore / Ahmedabad

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lean Manufacturing Consultant to evaluate shop floor and business flow conditions at customer sites, develop improvement strategies, and drive operational excellence using best manufacturing practices.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring result verification, and designing sustainable mechanisms for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate shop floor and business flow conditions at customer locations.

- Develop and implement strategies for improvement using best manufacturing practices.

- Lead and manage a team of 2-3 members to achieve expected results.

- Verify and validate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.

- Design and establish a sustenance mechanism for long-term improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and concepts.

- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication and client management skills.

- Ability to influence and convince customers effectively.

- Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.

- Flexible to travel as per project requirements.

- Knowledge of production planning, costing, inventory management, and ERP systems.

- Proficiency in analyzing complex problems and providing structured solutions.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience.

- Extensive experience in Lean deployment and Kaizen event leadership/facilitation.

- Six Sigma Black Belt certification or proficiency in problem-solving tools is a plus.

- Strong project management experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Project.

- Qualified to train and utilize key Lean/Continuous Improvement disciplines such as:

Value Stream Mapping:

- Standard Work

- Line Balancing

- Visual Management

- Lean Daily Management

- 5S, Kanban, SMED, PFEP, TPM, Heijunka, Problem Solving, FMEA, etc.

- Outstanding facilitation and problem-solving skills.

- Self-directed, well-organized, and capable of effective follow-up.

- Strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrated ability to lead teams without direct authority.

- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
