Job Overview:
The Compliance and Risk Assessment Manager will oversee regulatory and contractual compliance, assess potential contractual risks, and develop frameworks to mitigate these risks. This role ensures that all company operations adhere to applicable laws, industry standards, and contractual obligations, while safeguarding against business and operational risks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Compliance:
o Ensure that all business practices and operations are in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
o Monitor regulatory changes, interpret implications for the organization, and update policies and procedures as needed.
o Collaborate with relevant departments to implement compliance strategies that align with legal and regulatory standards.
o Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments, addressing any potential non-compliance issues.
2. Contractual Compliance:
o Develop and implement processes to ensure adherence to contractual terms and obligations.
o Monitor ongoing projects and business operations to confirm compliance with all contractual commitments.
o Maintain detailed records and tracking systems for all active contracts, reporting on compliance metrics.
3. Contractual Risk Assessment:
o Conduct thorough risk assessments for all contracts, identifying any potential legal, financial, or operational risks.
o Provide insights on contract risks, highlighting areas that may impact business performance.
o Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to negotiate contract terms that minimize risks.
o Establish and manage a risk mitigation framework to address identified risks, including developing contingency plans and strategies.
4. Policy and Process Development:
o Draft and implement policies to support regulatory and contractual compliance objectives.
o Develop and maintain risk assessment protocols and tools for ongoing evaluation of contract risks.
o Train and educate team members on compliance requirements and risk management strategies.
5. Reporting and Stakeholder Management:
o Prepare and present regular reports on compliance status, risk exposure, and mitigation activities to senior management.
o Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
o Provide guidance to business units on compliance requirements and risk management best practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Master of Laws (LLM), or Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
- Experience: 4+ years in regulatory compliance, contractual compliance, or risk assessment, preferably within a corporate environment.
