Position Title: Collection Strategy Analyst
Job Responsibilities/Functions:
- Build and design customer segmentations models to predict risk of loss, customer contactability, and profitability.
- Develop, design and measure champion / challenger strategies including late stage strategies, skip entry, skip strategies, site placements, settlements, and early legal programs.
- Responsible for the development of measurements & reporting of treatment programs including short term vendor incentive strategies.
- Develop and maintain documented descriptions of the work processes, including scope, process maps, strategy design, and data collection methodology.
- Perform high impact collection strategy analyses and make formal recommendations to Sr. Management.
- Partner with IT to develop sophisticated business reports such as automated oracle, business objects, or support central based reporting.
- Improve & monitor daily, weekly & monthly strategy dashboards. Notify management of warning signals & recommend corrective action.
- Identify process improvement opportunities as required to affect performance changes
- Provide strategic testing and audits for collection correspondence processes
- Interact with technical resources; risk management; and vendors to develop requirements to enhance strategy design and ensure flawless execution of all contact applications.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory laws regarding collection contact channels.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present business results to senior management.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Statistics, Business, Mathematics, or Risk Analysis or related field.
- 2 year of SAS programming experience and hands on experience on SAS BI would be added advantage.
- 1 year experience with oracle, Teradata, OR ODBC data warehouses.
- Ability to work on SAS Base / SAS Macros / SQL and experience in extracting data from various databases
- Strong power point and excel skills including, pivot tables, vlookup, formulas, integration with data servers, and automatic update of reports.
Qualifications Preferred:
- 1 year experience building and implementing segmentation models such as linear / logistic regression
- Experience with designing test & control environments working with large amounts of data to analyze and develop effective contact & treatment strategies for specific account populations using various approaches to segmentation & analysis
- Prior experience with Business Objects reporting suite
- Prior UNIX experience
