About this role:

In Gartner's Services Analytics & Productivity team, we innovate the way the service teams help clients receive value enabling smarter decision making by technology leaders who are our clients. This role would entail working through large volumes of data to proactively uncover new ideas, opportunities and strategies on the way we engage clients leading to higher client retention. You will also have opportunities to work on several business initiatives and be empowered to lead problem solving leading to continuous improvement. You will work with senior stakeholders and be the natural extension to their analytical horsepower. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a high-impact business analytics team providing a mixed exposure around problem solving, stakeholder management, leadership and people development thereby delivering exceptional business impact defined in terms of client retention and service team productivity.

What you- ll do:

Insights and analytics :

- Do exploratory analytics to identify metrics that impact client retention and growth, as well as their drivers

- Lead quantitative analytics (primarily descriptive in nature) and contribute to overall problem solving through effective cross-collaboration on qualitative PS, conducting analyses and synthesizing findings

- Partner within service ops and service delivery teams to develop analytical insights for point-in-time problems

- Identify retention and growth opportunities through analytical approaches and arrive at recommended actions for service teams

- Responsible for identifying trends / insights from data and leveraging the right analytical tools and techniques to do so

- Measure and track progress: create analytical tools that allow tracking, measuring and reporting impact metrics

- Work with automation team to efficiently scale reporting

- Stakeholder and project management

- Influence senior internal stakeholders of BUs on prioritizing the right problems and to jointly implement initiatives

- Effectively collaborate with overall program manager of the initiative to plan project elements and align on deliverables; ensure timely and valuable delivery per the timelines

Innovation :

- Work with novel datasets to build analytics off them

- Enable automation opportunities

- Partner to drive process and systems improvement in different stages of data pipeline (account booking, territory assignment, AL, dashboards etc.)

What you- ll need:

- 2 - 4 years of experience in business analytics after graduation in quantitative field: engineering / maths preferable OR

- 0 - 2 years of experience with MBA from institute of repute

- Demonstrated expertise in descriptive analytics, exposure to statistical analyses is good to have

- Experience with advanced data manipulation and summarization skills using python and Excel

- Intermediate SQL knowledge to fetch relevant data from warehouse

- Intermediate PowerBI knowledge to leverage it as a tool to manipulate large size datasets

- Intermediate Powerpoint skills including ability to summarize key message and leverage right charts in think-cell

- Excellent communication skills (Oral, Written skills)

- Collaboration skills
