Detailed role description:

The Senior Product/Delivery Manager (PDM) at Galytix serves as the nexus of multiple functions (Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and Data Science)owns product roadmaps, and leads an 8-15 person team of Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists responsible for implementing our GX Platform in a client environment. PDM has a technical understanding of the GX Platform and is accountable for solution delivery to the client:

- Covers the entire Data & Analytics delivery lifecycle from requirements definition, through comprehensive implementation, to maintenance and support.

- Oversees the definition and maintenance of the Solution Blueprint, supporting the engineers in the analysis of the critical paths and the interdependencies of the Platform implementation.

- Supports the DataFactory Engineer in best deploying the Algorithmic Data Engineering Flow and the BDCR framework ("Build, Detect, Correct, & Repair").

- Leads the interaction with senior executives and engineers to build and champion a long-term GX Platform implementation roadmap.

- Leads in key meetings to track the progress status of implementation and its sub -elements and steers the team of engineers towards implementation objectives.

- Collaborates directly with client leaders and front-line operators on topics where implementation issues are important and where driving change is critical to the successful realisation of goals.

- Provides direction and structure.

- Leads, with the support of engineers, the Lessons Learned process for the implementation, ensuring full compliance with the client's overall Data & Analytics objectives and proactively promoting the adoption of improvements for the GX Platform. + Touches the area of Data & Analytics holistically and addresses all aspects important for enterprises that undergo data transformation.

- Supports the development of the overall product roadmap by working closely with the Product Architect and Engineers.

- Develops a continuous improvement mindset within the team through development, training, target setting, KPIs, and consistent performance reviews.

- Leads preparation of executive review pack and presenting status to executives.

- Oversees the application of GX Delivery Methods and validates changes or discrepancies against key GX delivery document standards.

Desired skills:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing and delivering high-complexity data systems and multidisciplinary job environments. Banking or insurance industry experience is preferable.

- A university degree from a reputed university in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar

- Proven track record in delivering projects and thorough understanding of business models and product deployment process.

- Data-driven approach, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

- Strong professional communication and ability to produce effective presentation

- Good knowledge of financial and quality metrics.

- Management of timing plans, in multi-project contexts.

- Good understanding of software engineering concepts and patterns. Some knowledge of computer languages like Python, Scala, Java, C#, C++ is an advantage.
