Position: Associate/Senior Associate/Manager
The position requires preparing financial models, conducting investment analysis, commercial and financial due diligence, conducting market research, and supporting business development for AMPYR's renewable energy platforms across the globe. The individual will be expected to look at regulatory requirements, processes, market factors costs, competition etc. to support new Business development, and investment decisions.
The position will be based in Delhi and reports to Head - Investment & Development.
Location: New Delhi
Key Responsibilities
- Update/modify/develop financial models.
- Deal evaluation, financial modelling, tax and capital structuring for acquisitions/sale.
- Evaluate new Business opportunities thru a detailed study of relevant factors including regulatory, market, commercial & financial factors.
- Conducting commercial / financial due diligence for existing and new projects/acquisitions.
- Preparing detailed Investment reports for new projects / assets, including business plan/budget, financial return profile, and recommendations for investment.
- Prepare presentations and for internal approvals & Investment Committee evaluations.
- Develop and finalize term sheets and due diligence processes.
- Capturing and analyzing data from multiple data sources to track trends/developments in renewables energy sector.
- Keeping up to-date with international policies, regulations, impacting the development of Renewable Industry.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly asset management reports, monitor and report project progress including budget vs. actual capital spend.
- Conduct market research for new and existing markets / opportunities and industry developments.
Required Experience:
- Up to 5 Years of experience of relevant working experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in financial modelling, investment / project finance.
- Experience in the renewable energy industry is strongly preferred (Experience in renewables / sustainable energy / power / utilities / gas / infrastructure sector).
- Experience in financial evaluation/modelling of debt/equity raise/IPO/REITS/InvITs.
- Handling financial models and valuation methods (DCF / comparable / multiples etc.).
- Experience in conducting business feasibility and financial/commercial due diligence.
- Experience in writing investment memos/reports.
- Work experience in a transnational organization or environment would be an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Advanced MS Excel Skills (ability to handle large and complex spreadsheets and financial models).
- Understanding of renewable power sector preferably in developed countries/regions e.g., EU, North America, AUS.
- Ability to work independently on Financial Modelling, Business Valuation, Corporate Finance, and Debt financing transactions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capability.
- Capability to assimilate data from various secondary sources and provide relevant insights for top management.
- Independent, self-starter, team-oriented and confident in his or her abilities.
- A team-player with ability to deal with multiple stake holders and cross functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills - written, oral and presentation.
- Time management, highly analytical, execution mindset and attention to detail.
- Knowledge about Accounting, Finance, Capital Structure & Valuation, Financial modelling.
- Very Strong MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, and Word.
Educational Qualifications:
- A graduate, having appropriate professional qualification viz. CFA, MBA, Master's in Finance would be an advantage.
