The Opportunity: Come Build the Next Generation High Tech Product Company
Background:
GAIAN Solutions has grown over the last 11 years into a strong IT product company in the cloud platform space organically. 8 of our 11 years we have been profitable and we have experienced 50-100% organic growth YOY in every year of the last 5 years. We are at a critical point in our journey where we are no longer satisfied with organic growth. We are forming several strategic JV's with the world's market leaders in the space that we operate that now requires us to scale up rapidly/inorganically. It is in support of moving the company from a 50-100 Cr company to a 500-1000 Cr company that we are seeking to add a strong people officer to our fold.
About the position:
Needs to be a strategist (big picture thinker of long-term value, brand, culture) and a tactician capable of addressing day to day people operations of a company on a high growth that is transforming itself to do justice to the growth opportunities it sees ahead. It is an exciting and simultaneously a challenging time at GAIAN, and this person will be the center of all action.
From crafting a brand strategy, to co-identifying and spreading what and how the company wants to be perceived in the industry, the person will be the empowered agent of growth and change.
By hands-on management of Recruiting, HR Ops and Social Marketing teams totaling over 10 people, this person is expected to institute HR policies, practices, and programs that will position GAIAN as a great place to work and the best place to build a career. - Making winners of our workforce-, is the often stated founding principle of GAIAN. This candidate will have to take ownership of this founding goal and help realize it in every possible way.
Must-Have domain-specific technical Skills:
1. Has overseen set up and operations of HR policies and programs.
2. Directly helped create a Performance evaluation process that demonstrably helped hire and retain talent.
3. Operates as a business partner to the company's business teams and helps align HR policies and operations to the stated company business objectives.
4. Is the de-facto brand ambassador for the company and is able to articulate both internally and externally the values and culture of the company.
5. Is further able to convert this strategic goal into a series of tactical programs and plans.
6. Is further able to contribute and monitor hands on such programs and plans and ensure their success.
7. Must think BIG, plan BIG and execute BIG.
Must have leadership Skills:
1. Trained/schooled Expertise in HR leadership.
2. Author high-quality documentation.
3. Mentor cross-functional teams as a leader if not a manager.
4. Deep understanding & respect for the Agile process.
5. Experience in working with the culture prevalent in product development organizations.
6. Passion to create high-quality software product organization.
7. Highly ambitious for success & growth.
