Business Manager / Manager - Strategy

Business managers develop and drive implementation of strategic business initiatives (product, process, people) at Gaadi.com to achieve high quality outputs. They function like a team of internal hands-on consulting and process excellence team helping overall organization overcome challenges and manage growth.

Key Roles:

- Support development of overall strategy for the used car business of Gaadi.com

- Lead business planning of new product launches through primary and secondary market research, competitive benchmarking, generating consumer insight, developing go-to-market marketing strategies

- Pilot and stabilize launch of new products, processes and initiatives

- Monitor and report progress of key initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. Drive cross-functional initiatives and problem solve any roadblocks that occur

- Build and manage relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders

- Understand client needs and prepare client proposals

- Support scale-up of business operations across functions by institutionalizing processes across departments including but not limited to:

- Set up MIS system (excel, BI tools etc)

- Create Financial P&Ls and Annual Operating Plan process

- Create strong processes and structures across sales (e.g. incentive plans, sales team productivity), finance, marketing and operations

- Drive periodic business reviews along with business leaders (and independently lead for new businesses)

- Generate insights through analytics, consumer research and translate into necessary product and process changes

Key Requirements

- Education: MBA from tier 1 MBA school in India or Engineering from IITs

- Preferred: 4+ years of professional experience. Experience in strategic management consulting / business process consulting preferred

- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

- Ability to work in cross-functional settings and influence without formal authority

- Strong business and financial acumen

- Proficient in excel and in creating business and financial models

- Experience leading a team of people

- An appreciation of data, business and technology and willingness to roll-up your sleeves and tackle each as required.
