About the role :

As an FX Analyst, you will analyse the fundamental drivers of the foreign exchange market, specifically on Emerging Asian currencies. Working closely with the Asia strategy team based in Singapore, you will provide well researched and reasoned views and forecasts on key Asian currencies. You are expected to contribute to regular reports and produce thematic research.

What a typical day might look like :

- Track the latest economic and financial market developments, and figure out what impact that may have on Asian currencies.

- Build models and frameworks that help to better analyse currency movements.

- Write reports as part of a periodical publication, or on specific topical issues.

- Help to formulate FX forecasts and views.

- Assist with client queries and requests, and collaborate on general financial market research within the team.

Desired qualifications and skills :

- We are looking for someone who has an educational background in economics/statistics/business, preferably at a Master's level or higher.


- Being able to use statistical tools and apply modelling techniques for empirical analyses and forecasting is a must. Ideally you would have 2-5 years of work experience in economic or financial market research.


- Having some experience or knowledge of Asian economies and currencies is not mandatory, but would give you an edge. An understanding of technical analysis or the trading side of FX markets will be a plus. We also want to see strong business writing and communication skills
