Responsibilities:

- Responsible for developing Content strategy for the digital initiatives for the group. This includes Brand/Category/Product Positioning, Content Differentiation to drive footfalls and conversion for the relevant categories.

- Work cooperatively with key team members, clients and vendors.

- Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties.

- Track and report on all site metrics.

- Define the content organization with roles and responsibilities. Also define the work that can be outsourced and the ones that needs to be in house

- Develop a team of in-house and outsourced resources to deliver the content strategy.

- Work with the content specialists to develop and approve category guidelines for online content for multiple channels viz Tab, Website, and Kiosks etc.

The content includes all kind of content that is needed by digital channels- Video, Image and Copy for the different digital channels.

- Define and Approve content initiation and development process for all channels.

- Overall responsibility for the content lifecycle, from initiation to publish. The timeliness of the delivery of content, its accuracy and relevance of content on the digital channel.

- Continuous improvement of content strategy and guidelines by keeping an eye on customer feedbacks, review, competition content strategy.

- Create, develop and manage content for organization’s web presence (requires working with content management software.

- Provide analytical support for the creation of information sharing policies and procedures.

- Coordinate web projects across departments

- Keep current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs, listservs, and events

- Post various products to the appropriate networks and identify which products should be disseminated to which networks.

- Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties.

- Develop SOPs on current tasks and collaborate to develop and implement a new dissemination platform.

Skills

- Would prefer someone from either an online media or ecommerce background

- Must be creatively inclined in all his endeavors for the job.

- Excellent writing skills – must have an editorial sensibility and an excellent command of the written word (spelling, grammar, sentence structure).

- Experience in the digital space, producing fashion, electronic, home content etc or other content relative to the customer base.

- Experience with requirements gathering and systems development.

- Knowledge of the procedures and regulations regarding the classification and dissemination of finished intelligence.

Experience/ Education

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field. MBA in marketing a plus.

- 10-15 years of experience as a respected leader in multichannel content creation (publishing, journalism, etc.).

- Experience with creating compelling messages for different target demographics. Crisis communications experience a plus.

- Expertise in all major business software applications (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.).

- HR-related experience including hiring, managing, performance reviews, compensation packages, etc. required.
