Job Description -
1. Effectively participate in promoting and developing new business, specifically assist the Joint MD (Director Finance) in identifying new funding opportunities from the International market, drafting of prospective business strategy for attracting the Fundraiser / Bankers for prospective investments
2. Work with the Joint MD on the strategic vision including fostering and encouragement to the Investors / Bankers and strengthening relationships with the Investors at national and international levels.
3. Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, Bankers, investors, foundations, public officials in an international forum.
4. Oversees the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including, organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports for onward reporting to the funding agencies
5. Oversee fund source, fund investment and have control on business development strategy and its management to achieve success.
6. Oversee preparation of financial projections to achieve the Organizations financial need for new business
7. Monitoring International banking activities of the organization and maintain banking relationships
8. Ensure adequate funds flow to meet the Organization new business needs
9. Lead, direct, manage, train and guide a cadre of departmental managers
10. Provide the Joint MD (Director Finance) with an operating funds plan, achieve programmatic success through compliance and liaison with the Investors on investment analysis based on forecasting the new business growth and securing new funding
11. Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Joint MD and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
12. As a true business partner to the Management, assess organizational performance against company's long-term business strategy and provide recommendations.
13. Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with company National Nonprofit's strategic plan, especially as the organization considers sponsorships, potential acquisitions, and collaborations with external organizations
14. Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution
15. Oversee funds flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
16. Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization's operations and business plans
17. Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the sr. management team.
18. Remain up to date on nonprofit audit best practices and national and international federal law regarding nonprofit operations.
19. Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
20. Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for international funders, foundations, and company nonprofit's board of directors; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
21. Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns and compliance required for fund raising process
22. Represent company in efforts with investment bankers and potential investors in the International market.
23. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
24. Design promotional materials and increase awareness of Organization's work, goals, and financial needs.
25. Conduct fundraising strategies for the Metal / Mining organization to attract donors
26. Identify and contact potential donors
27. Evaluate the success of previous fundraising events
28. Train volunteers in fundraising procedures and practices
29. Ensure that all legal reporting requirements are satisfied for Fund Raising Process
30. Represent company in efforts with investment bankers and potential investors
31. Prepare various financial analyses and reports required by corporate development efforts
32. Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
33. Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
34. Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements.
35. Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
36. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
37. Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.
