Location: NESCO, Goregaon

Work Model: 5 Days (work from office)

POSITION OVERVIEW: Apollo specializes in the acquisition, development and management of commercial real estate across the United States. This position is open due to the acquisition of a new real estate portfolio.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare and maintain general ledger and reconcile accounts with supporting schedules on a monthly basis.

- Maintain GAAP books and prepare monthly financial reports/balance sheets/cash flow analyses/operating expense analyses for internal use and investor reporting.

- Reconcile and record monthly property level activity maintained by third party property managers/accountants

- Oversee cash management and bank reconciliation for all entities

- Prepare annual CAM, Insurance & Real Estate Tax reconciliation and tenant billings

- Set up and maintain property and tenant lease on Yardi software.

- Perform straight-line rent calculation on Yardi and record necessary adjustment entries on Yardi.

- Maintain knowledge of tenant leases (i.e. rent increases, options, special clauses, CPI rent calculation).

- Prepare Income and ROC distributions to LPs and principal & interest payments to lenders,

- Prepare annual workpapers and work with external auditors.

- Review tenant recurring charges to ensure that all are billed without errors

- Analyze all balance sheet and income statement accounts and prepare appropriate journal entries

- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for each property

- Communicate with property managers concerning property related issues

- Review and maintain tenant ledgers and rent rolls; prepare and send monthly statements

- Timely preparation of monthly standard reporting packages for property managers and clients

- Accounts Receivable reconciliation and follow up with Asset management team for nonpayment of rent

- Coordination with Apollo accounts payable for payment of property expenses

- Recording of the fair value adjustments for each property in its respective books

- Maintain performance metric calculations

- Liaise with tax compliance team and prepare income tax projections

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Typically requires a Chartered Accountant or Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field

- 3-6 years of experience

- Requires familiarity with standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures

- Relies on judgment and limited experience to plan and accomplish tasks

- Strong communication skills, good work ethic and analytical thinking

- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

- Experience with GAAP including accounting for leases and fixed assets is preferred

- Yardi experience preferred
