Position Name - Fund Accountant
Location - Gift city-Gandhinagar
Experience Range - 2-10 yrs
Mandatory Requirement:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting, including fund accounting for both Indian and offshore funds (e.g., UK, US, and European funds).
- Comprehensive experience in the operation of bookkeeping, accounting, taxation, and financial crime compliance (BATF) services.
Preferred Background:
- Candidates from Big4 accounting firms, IT consulting firms, or software companies are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of fund accounting, including daily bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial reporting for both Indian and offshore funds.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and other required documentation for funds.
- Handle the calculation and allocation of management fees, performance fees, and other related expenses.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns for funds, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and laws.
- Collaborate with auditors, custodians, and other service providers to ensure smooth operation and compliance of fund activities.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with financial crime regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) requirements.
- Provide support for fund launches, including setup of accounting and operational processes.
- Assist in the development and improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting, with specific expertise in fund accounting for Indian and offshore funds (e.g., UK, US, and European funds).
- Comprehensive knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting, taxation, and financial crime compliance (BATF) services.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in fund accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
