About the Job

BrightStar Enterprise Consulting, has an immediate need for a Finance / GL Lead.

This person must be a leader with gravitas.

Candidates with immediate start or very short notice will be first to interview.

1. Role Description

Experienced consultant required to provide end-to-end Oracle Financial implementation expertise. My client bases its delivery on a clear, structured, process-driven methodology. The consultant must be able to show the capabilities of the applications as well as defining how the business processes work. They should be capable of demonstrating best practice in a collaborative workshop environment and be confident in all stages of the implementation lifecycle from Analysis and Design to Build and Deployment.

3. Direct Reports - The competency lead will be required to build the Finance competency through the successful recruitment of senior consultants, relationships with the off-shore GDC's (Global Delivery Centers) and alliance partners.

4. Peers - Other Competency Leads e.g. Supply Chain, HR etc

5. Primary Responsibilities - Oracle Finance Competency Lead

- Accountable and responsible for recruitment, development and appraisal of the members of the Oracle Practice Finance Team.

- Act as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Oracle Finance modules and recommend new technologies, approaches or trends that impact current or future solution offerings.

- Mobilise, manage and motivate the Finance team and other resources when required in Finance activities, ensuring this team is adequately resourced and managed.

- Manage requirements & deliverables throughout the project life cycle, prove coverage and appropriately highlight all assumptions in a risk based test scope.

- Responsible for providing assurance and methodological advice to the Solution Delivery Team in relation to the Finance solutions to ensure successful exit from the Design, Build and Test activity phases.

- Define & drive adherence to Standards, Processes and Toolset.

- Work with quality, controls and audit functions as appropriate throughout the project lifecycle, providing independent feedback on solution health.

- Participate in Pre-Sales activities as required.

General

- Be aware of and protect project scope.

- Quantify resource demands on external resource pools in a timely fashion (e.g. functional consultants, process owners and business) and feed into the resource forum.

- Actively encourage collaboration, pragmatism, creativeness & candidness across work streams and business units to achieve desired outcomes.

- Understand and adhere to Project Methodology, Toolset and Standards.

- Actively contribute to and support Programme Co-ordination with other Projects.

- Actively contribute to project meetings.

- Dependency management with other project teams/activities (e.g. build, data and change).

- People management and career expectations of own-organisation project resources.

- Support overall Project Quality Management process.

6. Necessary Experience

- Minimum 10 years experience

- Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Fusion Desirable)

- Successful track record of leading full test lifecycle on a complex programme / large project within complex
