Position : HR Business Partner

Job Details :

- To support the Business Unit management to develop and implement HR plans and solutions in order to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results.

- He/she will work with leadership to understand the business environment and to determine, develop and execute innovative solutions to address work priorities. This work includes, but is not limited to, increasing workforce capability, providing change leadership, talent management / succession planning and supporting day-to-day operations as well as on-going process improvement.

- This role drives project management for various HR initiatives including management training and development, succession planning, policy review and implementation, etc

- He/she typically supports 700- 1000 personnel in the same entity/geography/workforce. He/she makes recommendations and suggests solutions within their own group which is typically a standard team with high complexity.

Key Responsibilities Performance Management and Professional Development :

- Assist with implementation and coordinate major Human Resources processes (e.g. promotions, annual performance management, compensation and salary administration) according to geographic/entity guidelines.

- Support career counselors and supervisors in the career development of all assigned personnel by providing guidance on career plans, coaching, and advising/approving required and elective training appropriate for their development.

- Support on-going performance feedback processes by providing regular guidance and training on delivering and receiving feedback, contributing to and reviewing formal input, discussing personnel issues, and supporting the implementation of performance improvement plans

Employee Relations and Employee Transitions :

- Serve as an escalation point for personnel and employee relations issues and provide guidance and intervention, as needed, to resolve personnel issues.

- Support and advise executives on HR policy, ensure compliance to the company's policies.

- Support the integration of new joiners.

- Coordinate the termination process by organizing discussions, ensuring appropriate documentation, conducting/coordinating exit interviews, and elevating and/or addressing any resulting issues.

- Update all personnel changes from initial request through approval and implementation (location transfers, entity transfers, workforce transfers, other personnel transactions).

General HR :

- Update applicable Human Resources systems and maintain data, as required.

- Review results of Global People Survey and work with leadership to affect change.

- Update management on a variety of matters including absence, poor performance, managed terminations, disciplinary and grievance matters, flexible working arrangements, advising on legal framework, options and potential risks.

- Coordinate the implementation of people programs and initiatives.

- Research attrition/retention, analyzing trends thorough headcount and exit data and recommending appropriate course of action.

- Respond, where necessary, to client labor/union activities/issues.

- Should be able to drive Strategic Business Unit level discussions.

Desired Skills and Experience :

- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any of the disciplines with an relevant experience of 8-12 yrs as HR business partner.

- Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results

- Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative

- Demonstrated ability to coach managers and supervisors to use company best practices for maximum effectiveness

- Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation

- The optimum candidate should possess an understanding of technology teams and how to grow and develop technology leaders

- Excellent presentation skills and knowledge of employment laws

- Proven ability to successfully work as a team member and to build and maintain a positive work environment across the network

- Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities

Preferred Qualifications : Proven skill in the operation and utilization software such as Microsoft Word for Windows, Excel, etc.

- Able to travel, as appropriate

- Experience in the development and administration of HR compensation plans

- Ability to analyze organization and individual needs and create the most cost-effective package to meet them

- Experience with assessing executive talent and filling technology/operations/management positions

- Proven understanding of the role and functions of a human resource office within a corporate operations structure

- Broad experience and specific knowledge of human resource theory, functions and practice; performance appraisal systems and staff development

- Proven ability to use initiative in carrying out tasks

- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and to organize workload to assure that short timelines are met while having frequent interruptions

- Exposure to multi-state employment laws
