Description of the role

The Head of Management and Leadership Development will take responsibility for developing the GDC's overall management and leadership capability, to deliver competitive advantage.

They will provide ongoing consultation with the business to continually renew a multi-level development framework that clearly defines the changing responsibilities of Fujitsu's managers and leaders as our business evolves with time.

They will lead on assessing managers against the framework and through the L&D team they will design, deliver and manage industry leading programs of development.

The Head of Management / Leadership Development will:

- Link management and leadership development to specific business outcomes

- Take direction from a Management and Leadership Steering Group, report progress and be responsible for the successful development of Fujitsu's managers

- Define a management and leadership development framework that accounts for four differentiated levels

- Partner with external suppliers of world class development programs while minimising the cost to Fujitsu

- Implement management assessment approaches that flex according to seniority, complexity and risk

- Design development programmes that maximise standardisation across the GDCs while providing space for localisation where necessary

- Critically evaluate external management qualifications and prescribe the best course of action for Fujitsu, with consideration of return on investment

- Work with the L&D team to ensure development activities are efficient, high quality learning experiences

- Provide development links into the company's talent programme Measures of success

- Management and leadership succession plan summary (RAG analysis)

- Demonstrate the positive effect of programs on business outcomes

- Steering Group members and the GDC Leadership Team have confidence that investment in management development delivers returns

- Managers and leaders agree the framework represents their responsibilities

- The framework delivers the capability needed for the future of the organisation

- Management and leadership development becomes a differentiator that attracts talent to Fujitsu
