Friends Union For Energising Lives (FUEL, read more at www.studentsfuel.org) is a non-profit organization focused on connecting students to education and career opportunities. For the last seven years, FUEL has worked with 2,500+ schools and has reached to 7 lac+ students in India and East Africa.

FUEL has received the highly prestigious Ashoka Fellowship, an appreciation from former President of India, Dr. Kalam and is the winner of NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation India) - Skill Innovation Challenge 2014- .

Fuel's core programs are:

- The Career Educonnect program - Includes aptitude tests, one-on-one career counseling, phone based helpline, and SMS based alerts.

- The Ahead of Times program - Includes job skills and professional training for students.

Vision :

Mitigate Educational inequality in India by Counselling and supporting over 1 crore students by 2020

Role :

Set up the CSR Engagement division and head the fund raising strategy at FUEL.

Job Description :

- Reporting directly to CEO, Fuel

- Understanding the core operational strategy of FUEL and designing a robust fund raising strategy to match the organization's growth trajectory;

- Engaging multiple stakeholders to support Fuel's work like corporate, government and international foundations and donor agencies;

- Identifies new donors and potential consortium partners through networking and other mediums and builds a strong donor base and database of consortium partners;

- Forecasts donor opportunities and maintains a pipeline of potential donor opportunities;

- Tracks institutional donor funding opportunities regularly;

- Prepares Action Plan outlining tasks, schedules, and responsibilities, for the proposal development process for solicitations;

- Facilitates the convening of Proposal Design Workshops;

- Prepares presentations and Participates in donor meetings;

- Prepare and update Daily, Weekly & Monthly reports;

- Analyses- new growth potentials, Scale up proven strategies and introduces innovative activities for promoting fundraising;

- Communicate, educate and build donor loyalty;

- Responsible for achieving the fund raising target - personally lead the direct marketing initiatives in assigned area - with special focus on closing deals / donations and achieving set targets as per the objectives of the organization;

- Design and develop an effective communication strategy for FUEL;

- Recruit and build an effective downstream fund raising team for FUEL;

Qualification And Skills :

- Persons with social sector specifically in education and a global exposure or marketing backgrounds are preferred.

- 8-10 years of work experience, preferably with an element of corporate exposure and an entrepreneurial mindset.

- Candidate should have a proven track record of identifying, developing and implementing long-term partnerships with NGOs, Government Institutions and other social enterprises.

- S/he should have a passion for development work, self-driven with high motivations levels; be a good team player with ability to work independently and to demanding timelines;

- S/he must have excellent networking and communication skills, Good in concept/Proposal writing, Documentation and Report writing skills; good knowledge of Computers and Office productivity/MIS & Presentation tools; and willing to travel.

Location : Mumbai
