Job Description

- The role is part of Frost & Sullivan’s Transportation & Logistics – South Asia and Middle East Practice that provides market research and business consulting services in the above said regions.

The transportation and logistics practice focuses on the markets in the following domain areas:

- Strategic management consulting related to logistics industry analysis and reporting, logistics & transportation market sizing and growth strategy, geographic market opportunity identification and prioritization, competitive intelligence, end-user need analysis, customer satisfaction study, industry benchmarking study, best practices, market leading innovations, market entry strategy, supply chain optimization solutions, etc

- Strategic business research related to logistics and supply chain, contract logistics, third party logistics, transportation by road and rail, air cargo and shipping, warehousing, freight forwarding, logistics technologies, ports, freight corridors, and logistics infrastructure.

The Supply Chain Solutions Consultant will handle the business development, client management, execution and delivery of client specific consulting engagements in the areas of supply chain optimization, assessment and benchmarking, revamping and redesigning the supply chains.

Desired Educational Qualification:

- MBA/Masters Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management from a premier institute, with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering

- Supply Chain related advanced certifications such as CSCMP would be a plus.

Desired Professional Experience:

- An established track record (at least 5 to 6 years’ experience) for selling and delivering consulting engagements in a reputed business consulting firm, working with "C" level executive clients.

- 8 to 10 years shop floor experience across industries e.g. Process, discreet Manufacturing etc.

- A domain expertise in at least two or three industry segments (e.g. Oil & Gas, Steel, Chemicals, Automotive, Consumer Products, etc.)

- Should have worked extensively in the areas such as Supply Chain strategy, Lean Supply Chain, Operational Efficiency improvements, Inventory Efficiency improvements, Productivity improvements, Landed Cost Analysis, Distribution Efficiency improvements, Warehouse optimization, Transport efficiency improvements, Logistics Cost reduction, etc.

- Proven track record of obtaining efficiencies through supply chain strategies and consulting solutions delivered to clients in above mentioned areas.

- Ability to understand client’s business needs and develop innovative Supply Chain Consulting solutions
