OVERALL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is expected to support clients in Insurance domain.

Analytics function overview: The analytics services in scope would be around Claims, Fraud and Customer analytics for Insurance providers - for consumer as well as enterprise business lines

Roles and Responsibilities summary:

- Help drive the analytics roadmap for the client's requirements over the duration of the engagement

- Ongoing program/project delivery management of the analytics and modeling function in Insurance analytics

- Provide statistical analysis and predictive modeling services as part of the claims and Fraud analytics offering - end to end, ranging from customer segmentation, driver analysis, profitability analytics, claims prediction etc - using advanced analytical and modeling techniques and tools

- As a people manager - build and develop analytics and modeling capabilities and business/industry knowledge in junior members of the team to help them grow in their careers.The candidate should be able to carry out the following analytics design activities:

Statistical Analysis

- Customer segmentation (performance, behavioral etc.)

- Claims abuse and fraud analytics

- Customer Profitability Analysis

- Predictive Modeling

- Scorecard Development

- Risk & Fraud Strategy Development

The candidate should possess knowledge and have hands-on experience in the following statistical and analytical techniques:

Statistical Analysis

- Cluster Analysis

- Decision tree

- Logistic Regression

- CHAID/ CART Analysis

- Factor analysis

- Neural Network

The candidate should possess knowledge and have hands-on experience in the following tools and software:

Statistical Analysis-

SAS procedures: CLUSTER, FASTCLUS, FACTOR, PROC SQL and Data Steps etc

Knowledge Seeker

Predictive Modeling

PROC Logistic, PROC Means, Association rule

Knowledge of other analytics and modeling tools and software is a plus

The candidate should be able to carry out the following analytics implementation activities:

- Analytics Roadmap Development and engagement management

- Project management

The candidate should have relevant experience and/or knowledge around the following areas, specific to this deal/industry:

- Industry Experience:

Insurance strongly preferred

Other - Banking, Telecom

Soft skills and other capabilities

The candidate should have the following soft-skills and/or other capabilities:

- Written communication skills - Good PPT/ Word/Email skills; ability to create effective communications using graphs, charts and other visualization techniques is important

- Verbal communication skills - Good abilities in spoken communications preferred (esp for more senior roles who interface directly with client and/ business)

- People management skills - Strongly preferred

Years of Experience

- The candidate should have the following profile with respect to experience and maturity:

- Overall years of experience - 6-8

- Years of experience in analytics - 6-8

- Years of experience as people manager - 3-4

- Years of experience in Insurance industry - 3-4

Education background

- Graduation: Statistics, Engineering, Management

Specialization: Masters in Statistics, Operation Research, MBA

Training and certification - SAS Basic/Advanced certification
