Sr Product Marketing Manager / Product Marketing Manager

- Product Development and Product Research: The individual will be involved in developing and evaluating new and innovative product concepts, assist in the project management of new product enhancements, and coordinating new product introductions through the initiation, approval, and implementation processes with other departments.
- Product Management and Communication: The individual will work with other functions for day-to-day product management jobs like - fund ratings, responding to product related sales queries, etc. He/She will use his/her knowledge of the capital markets, products and mutual fund industry to provide investment analysis/insights from a marketing perspective and support respond to sales queries.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Sr Product Marketing Manager / Product Marketing Manager? :
- Investment writing for equity, fixed income segments
- Developing communication pieces / product positioning pitch led by research and analysis to provide additional insights on product/market related concepts.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including global counterparts for product communications/ literatures/ query resolutions
- Support development and evaluation of new product concepts
- Competition analysis for product categories/ product facilities and crisp recommendations
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful? :
- Graduate/Engg. with an MBA
- CFA charter or pursuing CFA would be an advantage
- 3-10 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry with good working knowledge of investment products in general and mutual funds in specific
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Sound understanding of financial markets and more specifically the asset management industry.
- Working knowledge of equity and fixed income asset classes, understanding of macroeconomic linkages in the domestic as well as global economies
- Solid understanding of/interest in electronic media and how to best use them to carry messages
- Capacity to handle high volume of activity in fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills; interact effectively with all levels including senior management
- Proven ability to manage projects
- Ability to work collaboratively within teams to achieve results and also adept at working independently with moderate supervision
- Ability to invent creative/out-of-the-box solutions to unique communication challenges
- Knowledge of Mutual Fund products/operations/regulatory issues strongly preferred
- Integrity with a sound understanding of business ethics
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to multitask.
