Manager - Accounts Payable - Should be a CA qualified

Position is responsible for the direct supervision of the Accounts Payable Associates. Their role is to ensure workload is allocated equitably, staff is fully trained to support invoice data entry and payments processing, handling expense reports for their assigned region, and that the quality and quantity of input is within the service level agreement.

Job Responsibilities :

Supervise team including but not limited to :

- Hours worked

- Quality of input; Address errors and complaints

- Productivity levels

- Review and adjust workload allocation to ensure timely processing of invoices. Ensure a back log is not formed

- Ensure issues are appropriately escalated to the NoAm AP Shared Service / & other respective region Managers. Other regions include Singapore / Dubai / ISC / AMC.

- Ensure compliance to all policies, procedures, and regional regulatory reporting requirements affecting data capture of invoices.

- Compile reports required by management and government agencies

- Performing reconciliation

- Prepare various Month / Quarter / Year end schedules and provide information for Audit

- Provide service to customers by answering questions, providing information, making Referrals, and assuring appropriate follow-through and/or resolution

- Ensure each team member is meeting the minimum required quality and productivity targets.

- Approves vouchers for payment, and checks that payment issuance is accomplished accurately and in a timely basis.

- Ensures Sarbanes Oxley compliance and other audit requirements are fully carried out within all assigned areas in Accounts Payable.

- Performs other duties as assigned by the Shared Service Center Accounts Payable Manager

Train and develop staff. Examples include :

- Assist the Shared Service Accounts Payable Manager in continuous improvement of defined controls and procedures in order to meet company objectives.

- Work with NoAm AP Shared Services Manager to develop and implement a formal training process and update as needed

- Coach and motivate staff

- Provide developmental opportunities for future growth

- Ensure staff has training necessary to meet performance objectives

- Plan and prepare annual PMP/performance development process and monitor progress

- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates, and expedite Workflow

Knowledge, Education, And Experience :

- Preferred CA Qualified candidates only

- Overall 8 -10 years work experience in the fields of GL/Accounting/Transaction based Accounts Payable function.

- At least two years of experience at supervisory capacity

- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

- None

Additional Desirable Qualifications :

- Advanced / Professional qualification in Accounting

- Knowledge of PeopleSoft or other ERP system

Skills And Abilities :

- Read, analyze, and interpret procedures and governmental policies/regulations

- Strong English language reading comprehension skills

- Strong English language verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to train and provide direction

- Solid Microsoft Office skills:

- Word: Forms, Index and Tables

- Excel: Forms, Formulas, Functions, Pivot Tables, & Graphs

- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties including Company management and outside business associates

- Apply generally accepted accounting principles and procedures

- Strong attention to details

- Ability to interact with management on a regular basis

- Ability to maintain confidentiality

Supervisory Responsibility :

- Supervises non-exempt staff

- Coordinates duties of staff

- Provides process and procedure guidance to staff
