This is a team delivery manager role which would involve client management, internal operations, technical leadership and people management. The incumbent will have the following roles:
Responsibilities
Client Management : S/He would need to engage with clients to understand, define and develop data-driven business intelligence solutions and be responsible to :
Understand the clients business problems and develop an appropriate solution architecture.
Effectively provide consultancy to clients on various aspects of their business using different BI platforms including custom BI development
Define or align with client on standard metrics and KPIs for clients and establish processes to measure them
Work with analyst to develop relevant storyboards that enable better generation of analytical insights.
Make sure that all project deliverables are completed on schedule and in accordance with client's needs and expectations.
Identify risks in engagements and develop the mitigation plan.
Lead client engagements and assignments to ensure appropriate staffing, resource utilization, and quality assurance.
Leverage custom technology to enhance the competitive position of clients by identifying appropriate solutions and/or products and designs
Bring technical and domain expertise in client interactions and solution development
Technical leadership and Team management :
Be a thought leader in the focus area of BI, go to person for internal teams and a source of inspiration for the clients
Manage and communicate with stakeholders, ensure that the teams follow operational discipline
Provide technical guidance to junior analysts for solving problems, developing analytical strategies, and helping them apply analytical techniques and frameworks.
Manages projects well and ensure timelines and quality of delivery
Fosters high quality client service and achieves business targets
Build support for ideas and initiatives internally and externally
Works with people to develop individual development plans and provide ongoing mentorship
Forecast people requirements, manage staffing and other business needs
Improve productivity and utilization within the team
Recruit, train, develop and coach talent.
Be on the cutting edge of technology to understand and apply the best technology to meet client requirements
Qualification & Experience
6-8 years relevant experience in analytics preferably in CPG / FMCG / Retail / Consumer Product analytics
Expertise in business consulting with an emphasis on Business Insights and solutioning
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple types of data
Awareness of CPG industry data sets - syndicated sources, any custom research studies, etc would be a plus
Technical expertise in leveraging technologies and programming languages such as HTML, Javascript, CSS, Node.js, Python and Iron Python.
Good knowledge of databases like SQL Server, Oracle with ability to develop and recommend appropriate technical architecture for custom BI solutions
Technical mastery in BI platforms such as Spotfire, Tableau, QlikView or other visualization / Analytics Tools
Good logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication
Education: B.Tech/B.E or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline is required
