Fractal Analytics - Director - Engineering

Role & Responsibilities:

The Principal, Engineering will provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. You are well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.

Experience & Qualifications

She/He will be leading strategic engagements for Fortune 500 companies in the Data analytics and engineeringecosystem. Also, specialize in open source technologies, distributed and high performance computing, realtime scoring and decision science.

- Real time analytics

- Work with multiple organizations across various industries to define the technical strategy and road-map

- Connect with members across teams within the organizations - IT, Business, Analytics, Governance and Compliance for Big data initiatives, strategy and tactical implementation

- Understand business problems and translate them to analytical solutions for competitive advantage

- Define technology infrastructure, technology stack, implementation patterns, security and governance needs (solution architecture)

- Migrate analytical models and outputs to technology infrastructure

- Production deployment of models on Hadoop, leveraging Hive, Spark, scikit, Oozie, shell, native development

Must Have :

- 8-12 years of experience in engineering software products / platforms

- Experience with Node.JS / Angular / AWS / Azure cloud with strong server-side coding capabilities & multiple languages

- Comfortable with large RDBMS - Postgres, MySQL etc.

- Previous experience in building leading successful deployment & scale-up

- Experience in open source platforms, software and tools - and having made platform & architectural decisions, including - Build vs Buy-

- Experience in building machine learning capabilities / advanced data analytics systems a plus
