About the Role:

- Business Analyst is an Individual Contributor role where you will be responsible for tracking key metrics, running ad-hoc requirements through building and maintaining SQL scripts and generating insights for decision makers to solve business problems.

- Along with this, you will be expected to have a very good hands on experience on different data streams and address the business data requirements.

- This role will work across functions with other groups in analytics as well as other departments in the company and will be expected to frequently work on data requests from various stakeholders

What will you do:

1. Should work with large, complex data sets to solve business problems, apply advanced analytical methods as needed

2. Responsible for giving insights to management and help in strategic planning

3. Expedite root cause analyses/insight generated against a given recurring use case through automation or self-serve platforms

4. Ability to understand the problem from all the perspectives (i.e. business, technical and end-user), analyse the available options and constraints and recommend possible solutions

5. Work with Business, Product and Data engineering teams for continuous improvement of data accuracy through feedback and scoping on instrumentation quality and completeness

6. Develop compelling stories with business insights, focusing on strategic goals of the organisation

You should apply If you have:

Technical capabilities:

- 3 + Years of Strong experience in SQL - should be able to build complex and optimized queries

- Strong experience in Excel - should be comfortable with advanced functions. Understanding of shell script is beneficial

- Strong logical & analytical concepts in databases, schemas, dimensional modelling

- Basic to mid-level understanding of scripting languages (R, Python, etc.)

- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview etc)

- Working knowledge of data warehousing infra tools like DB connections

- Understanding of ecommerce and Agri retail business

- Data Driven: Sharp aptitude and excellent numerical acumen; ability to sift through large volumes of data.

Required abilities / competencies:

- Attention to detail and strong data orientation

- Ability to adapt to and learn new tools/ techniques quickly

- Very good written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to multitask and work on a diverse range of requirements

- Strong rigor in automating repetitive tasks
