Rozana's mission is to serve the one billion-strong rural Indian population for their daily household demands. The potential of the rural market is immense, with 200-300 million first-time online commerce users, that could contribute around half of India's GDP.
Currently, we serve around 6000 Gram Panchayats spread across 13 districts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, through a network of 18,000+ peer partners. With visionary leadership, a strong ground presence and a deep understanding of our customers, we are well-placed as the first-mover in this space.

About the Role:
The AVP - Strategy will be part of the Founders' office and work closely with the Founders to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and improve profitability. The person will help lead key cross-organization initiatives working closely with multiple senior leaders as well as external partners. Ideal candidate will be a thought leader possessing strong leadership qualities, inter-personal skills and with a detail-oriented, organized and analytical approach.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning and execution of key growth initiatives:
- Work closely with the leadership team to establish annual strategic priorities and goals
- Lead discussions and assist the CEO in influencing and driving strategy alignment across various functions: e.g. leading project reviews, proposals, weekly function updates, etc.
- Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership in the team
- Lead business analytics and insight for driving growth and profitability:
- Set up and monitor appropriate business dashboards for the organization, to highlight key insights and issues that merit attention
- Provide regular updates and insights to the senior management team on business performance, risks, and opportunities
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify areas of improvement and optimize business performance; monitor industry trends and competitive landscape
- Lead strategic alliances, partnerships and investor relations:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and investors
- Represent the organization in key external meetings with partners and investors
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with investors and analysts by providing regular updates on the company's performance, financial results, and growth prospects.
Lead team leadership and management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and investors
- Partner with the Internal Communications team to assist the executive with preparation and dissemination of communication within the organization including all-hands meetings and town halls.
- Lead and drive cross functional initiatives that are part of the business strategy
Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- MBA/B.Tech from Tier 1 & Tier 2 colleges or Chartered Accountant or MBA (Finance).
- Min. 5 years in a cross-functional business, product, or program management role, preferably in high-growth organizations
Skills:
- Proficient in advanced MS Excel including macros, and other MS Office tools
Behavioral attributes:
- Strong sense of ownership
- Proven experience in organizing, collaborating, and building trust across multiple teams and departments
- Ability to influence and persuade executive-level stakeholders
- Excellent communicator in written and verbal form with great presentation skills.
- Fast-paced and versatile, with a strong bias for action
- Highly organized - ability to drive people and projects to measurable outcomes
- Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
- Experience in setting up and scaling processes while bringing structure to ambiguity
- Strong business acumen
- Do whatever-it-takes' attitude to be successful
- Ability to handle confidential information with highest level of integrity
