About the Role:

As the Senior Operating Executive at Foundation AI (FAI), you play a vital role in navigating the strategic and operational dimensions of our India Business operations. This role demands a dynamic leader with a robust background in executive roles, specifically as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Operating Officer (COO) or equivalent, within the SaaS companies, preferably AI.

Overview:

We are actively seeking an experienced and professional oversee and manage the business operations of our India division.The primary focus is to ensure efficient functioning, strategic alignment, and financial success for the organization in India.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

- Lead day-to-day business operations, overseeing HR, Staffing, Engineering, Product, Quality, Support, Customer Success etc .

- Implement and enforce efficient processes to enhance overall organizational effectiveness.

- Take ownership of the end-to-end process, functioning, and P&L of the India operations.

Strategic Alignment:

- Collaborate closely with the CEO to align operations with the company's overall strategy.

- Contribute to the long-term vision of the company by working towards the strategic goals set by the Board.

Professional Management:

- Collaborate with the CHRO and/ or the Human Resources Head to recruit, build, and lead a high-performing team aligned with the company's culture and values.

- Bring professional management expertise to ensure the organization's current market success and future growth.

Efficiency and Process Improvement:

- Drive initiatives to enhance process efficiency, documentation, and overall operational excellence.

- Evaluate current processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize performance.

Financial Oversight:

- Take charge of the financial health of the India operations, ensuring profitability and responsible financial management and work with the Global Finance Team.

- Provide transparent and accurate financial reporting to the Global Finance Team.

Strategic Planning:

- Participate in strategic planning sessions, contributing insights into operational aspects and aligning with broader organizational goals.

- Engage in discussions around opportunities, risks, and the overall direction of the company.

Reporting & Management:

- Develop reporting formats to update the progress of each department on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for all stakeholders, including the CEO and the Founding Board.

- Drive change through data-driven decision-making.

Industry Benchmarking:

- Analyze spending patterns compared to similar SaaS companies.

- Evaluate Gross Margin and implement strategies for improvement, leading to higher valuation.

Process Improvements:

- Identify areas slowing down operations.

- Create process maps for each department and the overall organization.

- Enhance departmental efficiency by addressing bottlenecks.

- Get the KPIs defined, conduct regular performance evaluations, and implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) where necessary.

- Ensure up-to-date documentation for each department.

People-Related:

- Attract top tier talent for technical roles such as Engineering and Data Science; primarily.

- Identify staffing needs and optimize and execute workforce allocation strategies.

- Drive and uphold the company's culture.

- Collaborate with department heads to build high-performing teams.

Other Responsibilities:

- Regularly track budgets at both the overall and departmental levels.

- Collaborate with department heads on special projects.

- Monitor and enhance security initiatives closely.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a COO or in a similar operational capacity.

- Strong background in process optimization, efficiency, finance, and professional management of enterprises.

- Experience working closely with founders and adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.

- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report to the Board and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to the long-term vision of the organization.

- Must have worked with investment companies like Mckinsey, Bain, BCG etc. and should have - lead high performing Saas Based AI Teams.

Education:

- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline is typically required.

- Good to have a Master's in Business Administration (MBA), Master's in Technology Management, or a similar qualification.
