Forensic Research Desk Role - Institutional Equities

Role & Responsibilities :

- Detailed review and analysis of Annual Reports, director report, financial, cashflow, contingent liabilities, management commentary

- Study of Accounting Practices, Board composition , management remuneration etc.

- Comparative study within the industry/competing/peer firms to draw up analysis which will throw more insights about window dressing or any financial misconduct

- The role deep-dives further into specific sectors/industries/firms where potential IPO situation is high

- The role strengthens the regular equity research team review on specific sector/ industry/ firms

Required Background :

- Strong understanding of Ind-AS, and IFRS and a keen interest in equity markets.

- Should have the ability to synthesize insights from accounting and financial information disclosed by companies in annual reports and can read and understand in between the line.

- Preferably a CA or CA/CFA

- An analytical and research-based approach and strong understanding of finance and valuations to assess companies and industries

- MS Office skills - should be good in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Word
