1. Synopsis of Role:
This role is responsible to lead, supervise, enable and manage the Finance team to deliver high quality financial and accounting services and solutions primarily for the processed foods business, but also for other Group companies as required. The incumbent would have to interact with key stakeholders throughout the business; take part in the strategic team responsible for driving change & improving internal and external systems & processes.
2. Essential Functions:
- To design and Implement various finance and accounts related internal controls in the company
- To prepare Financials as per Ind AS
- Liasoning with Statutory and Internal Auditors
- Filing of Annual Returns and Tax Filings
- Vendor Management and Control
- Fixed Assets Management
- Ensuring a smooth transition to ERP environment
- Establishing practices and formulating policies & SOPs of various critical activities in the function
- Ensuring Real-time accounting and closure of accounts including revenues, expenses etc
- Preparation of Business Plan
- Preparation and Review of monthly MIS
- Ensuring proactive input into preventive actions to address key business risks
- Keep abreast with the latest trends in finance and accounts processes in the market and look for opportunities internally so as to drive implementation of these improvements in the F & A process
- Understanding Transfer Pricing and Compliances
- Mentor the Finance team
3. Essential Functions :
- Ability to learn and work on various accounting software.
- Advanced level understanding of spreadsheets and power point.
- Experience of working in FMCG companies and related compliances.
- Experience in the production of financial statements and supports in preparing budgets/forecasts.
- Updated knowledge of developments in accounting and taxation.
- Strong communication & analytical skills and good team player.
4. Preferred Education and Experience:
- Post Graduate preferred Chartered Accountant with 5-7 years- experience
- Should have exposure in managing in a global environment (ideally UK, Australia, Middle East )
5) Knowledge and Skills:
- Exposure to the FMCG is mandatory preferably the food processing industry.
- Knowledge of UK accounting process desirable but not essential
- Leadership capabilities and experience.
- Foster and cultivate business opportunities and partnerships.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Very strong execution and implementation skills, coupled with tactical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent in written & spoken English.
- Good at relationships with external agencies for auditing, compliances, etc.
- Excellent in the entire Microsoft Office Suite i.e. Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
