FLYWITHVIP.COM is a startup that has signed up with 300 celebrities in the country and auctions and raffles the inflight seat adjacent to the celebrity whenever they take a flight, with proceeds going to a charity which the celebrity supports. We launched this site in Feb 2015 with a flight with the Bollywood Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan. Thereafter we've had flights with Anushka Sharma, R Madhavan, AbhishekBachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Asin and others. The celebrities signed up are from various spheres including India Inc (represented by Mr. Birla, Mr. Godrej, Mr. Bajaj, Mr. Narayan Murthy and others), Spiritual gurus (represented by Deepak Chopra and Sri SriRavishankar), Sports (represented by MS Dhoni, Virat, Rohit Sharma, Sania, Saina and others), Fashion Designers, Bank Chairmen's and MD's. Coming soon are newer genres like politicians and bureaucrats.

From end Oct our raffles will be offered to Vodafone, Idea, RCOM, BSNL, Tata Docomo users. Our mobile app will be pre-burnt into a million handsets of domestic handset makers Micromax and Lava in December. We are looking at raising around 200 cr for deserving charities in Year 2.

Job Description :

WE want to hire smart people, not to tell them what to do; but so that they can tell us what to do. We need a kickass hacker for the website and app.

Profile Requisites :

An IITian. If you are one amongst the 9600 of the 530,000 applicants that got into IIT, that's a good start. Candidates from Ivy Leagues, BITS Pilani,VJTI and other similarly reputed institutes at par with the ones named above, are also welcome.

If these statements describe you then you might be the one we are looking for :

- You are an entrepreneurial CTO who feels there must be more to life than a comfy salaried job.

- You've led the full cycle of mobile/web app development process from design to implementation for a startup

- You can articulate why something works or doesn't work to non-tech schmucks.

- When users provide feedback, you don't need a middleman to concoct a solution. You understand that owning this much of a startup means you are responsible for solving all of your own problems.

- You are your own biggest critic and motivator.

- You're assertive and confident enough to say when you need help and when you'd up, but you also understand that owning this much of a startup means getting outside help will be rare.

- Have worked on a consumer based technology platform

- While you started on PHP or Dot Net you are now equally at home on Python or C++.

- You know everything about scalable Tech architecture

- Being a great developer isn't enough anymore you are an excellent recruiter (you will create your own team), a meticulous project manager, a precise communicator and moreover an avid learner.

- Privacy, Security matter a lot more to you now than they did a few years ago.

Amongst other things you shall :

- Lead the vertical from the evolving to the implementation phase. To innovate and execute on product initiatives that will bring surprise and delight to our users while delivering business value to the company. Should work closely with the Business managers & Product development teams towards delivering world class solutions.

- Analyzing product metrics regularly and use the learning for product innovations and improvements

Instead of the usual "requirements", let's just talk about how the expectations relate to the equity, so you know where you stand. As of today we've raised INR 6 cr in an angel round and current valuation is 35 cr, about (- ) % of which will be yours. A decent salary will come with future funding.
