JOB DESCRIPTION
The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for overseeing and managing global procurement and sourcing activities across various categories related to interior design and build. This role will also lead supply chain and operations for the store distribution business, ensuring seamless inventory availability and efficient delivery of products. The scope of this role includes sourcing from China, Vietnam, India, and other countries to cater to demand in both India and the USA.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and extensive experience in global supply chain management.
Core Responsibilities:
Global Procurement & Sourcing Management:
- Develop and implement robust procurement strategies for multiple categories within the interior design and build sector.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage international suppliers across East Asia and other key regions.
- Negotiate contracts to secure cost-effective and high-quality sourcing solutions.
- Monitor global market trends to anticipate supply chain disruptions and opportunities.
- Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure procurement aligns with business requirements.
International Supply Chain & Logistics:
- Oversee global supply chain operations, ensuring timely procurement and distribution.
- Optimize supply chain networks to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement best practices in logistics, warehousing, and inventory control for international and domestic operations.
- Ensure on-time deliveries from international suppliers to meet demand in India and the USA.
Store Distribution Management:
- Lead store distribution operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Develop strategies for warehouse optimization, route planning, and cost reduction.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships across different geographies.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of vendors and implement improvement plans.
- Align procurement strategies with cross-functional teams, including operations, design, and finance.
Financial & Risk Management:
- Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost optimization.
- Mitigate risks associated with international procurement, including compliance with import/export regulations and trade policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.E/MBA from a premier institute with a minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in international procurement and distribution, preferably in the interior design and build industry.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in supply chain technologies and software.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global business environment.
