About the team :
The Corporate Finance Function is part of Controller's Org. The key responsibilities of this team would be Group Reporting which includes preparation of Plan, Forecasts and tracking it with Actuals. It also drives the monitoring of key financials and business metrics and partnering with Business units within the Group.
About the role :
This role would lead the Corporate Finance function for the Group which includes preparation of Group level Annual Operating Plan, forecasts and tracking the actuals. It also includes supporting in preparation of various presentations to the leadership and drive some key automation projects. This role would be partnering with various stakeholders as appropriate for new initiatives and any other activities.
What you'll do :
- Routinely communicate business unit and company, consolidated financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics.
- Review the closing financials reports for the given business unit and partner with accounting and respective entity FP&A team to align the financials
- Lead the strategic aspects of the annual operating plan for the company. Support the strategic business planning process
- Prepare presentations in support of board and stakeholder meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings
- Handle adhoc request and problem solving with a short turnaround time and supplement such request with appropriate analysis and comments to support decision making
- Review the plans vs actuals on regular basis; in depth analysis of variance and communicating the same proactively creating right visibility and enabling planning of actionables
- Continuous tracking of key financials and business metrics, accurate reporting and circulating the same relevant stakeholders at requisite time intervals
- Act as a running source of truth for numbers - key metrics and performance drivers for the given entity
- Develop deep understanding of business drivers and leverage that to create views for creating actionable plans
- Identify bottlenecks or processes at odds with business/ financial goals and Drive efficiencies
- Participate & Drive standardization & automation projects for process efficiency
- Partner with accounting, treasury, Business finance, analytics, FP&A, tax and legal team as appropriate
What you'll need :
- CA/ MBA Finance from a tier 1/ tier 2 University or business school
- 7-9 years of post-qualification experience
- Experience of business finance or accounting preferably FP&A
- Preferably should have directly managed a team
- Strong analytical rigor and problem solving skills
- Strong communication & Interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Proactive, takes initiative, self-motivated and team player
