Responsibilities:
People
- Provide effective Leadership to team of Deployment executives in the region
- Effective Stake Holder Management with the operations team in region on setting expectations and delivering on them
- Effectively collaborates cross-functionally in assigned region and between peers in the Central team
- Encourages people to expose problems and stays with them to implement true solutions
- Uses continuous coaching and dialogue to empower people to solve their own problems
- Supports organizational learning
Purpose
- Will function as the Regional Operations Development Champion for Line Haul Operations Development
- Lead the regional team and act as the SME for Process Design & Standardization
- Leverage Lean, Quality and Integration teams as necessary to deliver on facility / operational goals and objectives for the facilities in the region
- Drives Standard Work Deployment and Adherence
- Facilitates site infrastructure development/implementation in regions - Transport Centers
- Drives Productivity Improvement through Lean Implementation
- Will act as the Champion for leading Quality and Delivery related initiatives in the region
- Responsible for mentoring, coaching and development of the team based on the region
Process
- Works 40-50% of the time in Gemba (the work site) to understand and solve problems where they occur, with the people (operations) who live with the problems every day
- Continuously challenge Status Quo - for improvement
- Practices and teaches fundamental problem solving (PDCA) to find problems, define them, fix them and keep them from coming back
- Supports and leverages process for sharing best practices across locations
Desired skills and experience:
- Leadership experience in a - Process Driven- environment and implementation in a world-class organization and some experience building an organization in a division or start-up company
- 8-9 years of overall work experience; Lean and/or Six Sigma deployment is a plus
- Experience is ISO and related Process Standardization methodologies
- Green or Brown Field Start up experience a plus (must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, creating structure and working in an fast-paced ever changing environment
- BS degree or better (Industrial / Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, Production etc.)
