About the role

This role requires an individual to own all aspects of First Mile & Middle Mile & lead various initiatives to make step change in metrics driving value for customers. This position offers a broad exposure to various business, financial, and technical teams within Flipkart.

In this role, you will be required to understand, analyses existing processes & lead improvements through process or product changes yielding higher productivity, speed of delivery & best in class experience.

The role would require working on critical charters related to Speed & Cost. This will require you to understand the existing network, design sort philosophy inside MH, derive Speed & Reliability impact of the Network and assess right cost of the Network.

About the Team:

Design team is responsible for innovation, ideation & process improvement across different Mother hubs (MHs) to drive future capabilities for bringing in cost efficiency, speed and reliability.

The team engages in thinking futuristic, game-changing and out-of-the box solutions that may not have been tried and carry a calculated risk. The ever-changing e-commerce landscape assures Flipsters a larger-than-life experience in solving challenging supply chain problems and building avant-garde supply chain solutions.

We essentially work on 3 workstreams - Speed, Cost & Reliability across different business units - Flipkart as well as Myntra.

What you will do?

- Develop and deploy optimization models to drive strategic and tactical decisions across Operations, & Network designing with various businesses across the country.

- Understand the as-is business processes, identify inefficient processes, define base metrics, redesign the process and benchmark to initial metrics

- Work closely with stakeholders to identify and analyze these business processes and workflows.

- Proficient in Excel, python, R or any other tool that can support coding to create automated tools

- Conduct pilots to prove the POC and work with cross functional teams to create capabilities to implement structural solutions

- Documentation of process and workflows (highlighting execution plan, risks, input, output and success metrics)

- Development of clear and detailed process maps and business requirements

- Support the Domain experts to ensure process changes are documented & understood by all relevant stakeholders and executed through, to completion

- Continuously challenge the existing operations and processes with a view to improve operating and service performance and promote cost effectiveness and increased profitability

What you will need?

- Analytical (Data Interpretation; Analysis) and Problem-solving skills

- Thorough proficiency in Excel, or any decision tool

- Program Management; Design thinking

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

- Knowledge of supply chain design concepts and its importance

- Comfortable in working in unstructured environments and fast timeline

- Prior experience in process designing, supply chain management

- Team player with strong ability to drive self and team

- Excellent presentation, organizational, planning, execution skills
