The product is a functional organization in eKart responsible for architecting supply chain disruption in India. It does so by building a strategic vision in terms of capabilities and help the company inch closer to the said vision through incremental milestones. Flipkart believes in solving problems through technology with systemic intelligence as the end state and we want a product to ensure that such a philosophy is carried through in every area of execution in the company.
To help achieve this objective, product managers in Flipkart are expected to understand the domain very deeply. They are expected to be subject matter experts in their area which can help them shape the overall execution with stakeholders.
To successfully build a strategic vision, while it is important to go into depth of a problem, a key quality needed is horizontal thinking especially from the customer point of view. We expect product managers to be customer obsessed and ability to build empathy. The customer could be an end-customer to Flipkart.com, a seller who sells her product through Flipkart.com, a blue-collar worker on the shop floor or a category manager in the company.

City logistics in EKART takes care of first and last mile delivery of shipments. Our tens of thousands Delivery executive across thousand facilities delivers tens of million shipments/month across 6500+ Pincodes. We also pick up tens of million shipments/month from tens of thousands Sellers.
