About the role: Drive Category Performance, Deliver Strategic Plans, Provide 'real time' strategic and decision support through thought leadership and insightful analytics for a sustainable & profitable growth.

You are responsible for:

- Key interface between business and finance teams

- Active participation in the planning and budgeting exercise and ensure appropriate targets are assigned in line with the growth strategy of the BU and in line with the management guidance and projections

- Accountable for producing and validating presentations for executive reviews (Annual Business Plans, Quarterly Global Operations, Monthly BU/SBU reviews, BU Cabinet reviews, etc.)

- Design and implement key performance indicators to track and review major profit levers/parameters providing early warning signals to all stakeholders for corrective action

- Produces and analyzes a range of Management Information System (MIS) reports gauging various performance metrics of the BU

- Manages queries of the BU and support in decision making

- Supports Business Leaders in simulating the impact of various business circumstances to the Financials

- Tracks variances, explanations and recommend corrective actions

- Enhances project managers' visibility into financial information and aide in improving their financial prudence & training key stakeholders.

- Ensures Accuracy and timeliness in producing reports and analysis, and drives process improvements

To succeed in this role, you should have the following:

- Qualified CA with 2+ yrs of relevant experience in FP&A/ Business finance role.

- Excellent Business Acumen.

- Superior understanding of Financial Analysis and Accounting principles.

- Top notch analytical and problem solving abilities

- Consulting and communicative capabilities.

- MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.

You should have:

Principle Accountabilities:

Financial & Business Planning :

- Formulate & Drive Business Plans / Strategies for the Market for specific categories and Division to operationalize the 3 Yr & 10 Yr Plan

- Analyse and develop Industry landscape to recommend Category / Product Play.

- Benchmarking vis a vis Market - Channels and Segments, Competitive Actions and Combative Counter Plans

- Lead Annual Operating Plan and Forecasting ( Monthly / Quarterly) and reframing Year to Go to deliver goals for the year

Operational Execution and Reviews :

- Co-own the Business P&L and KPI's along with Business Teams

- Drive Operational Excellence thru deep dive analytics on Busines / execution with Operating Teams

- Hold fort on Key Business KPI's viz. Revenue, Mix, Segments, Margins and Working Capital

- Crisp Presentations and creative visualizations explaining financial & business results - Deliver key messages to Category / Business leaders / Executive Committee and maneuver to a decision

- Business Case preparation and Performance review of new Investment. Insights thru Return on


Investment / Payback & decision Drivers :


- Analyse key business drivers regarding industry and competition and provide regular business risk assessment reports to Leadership Team

- Establish business intelligence reports & dashboards to streamline the financial and operations

- MIS across various categories / locations / initiatives

- Identify Levers for Revenue, Mix and Margin improvement opportunities and establish pricing /discounts / trade schemes guidelines

Commercial:

- Partner with merchants for Terms of Trade closure with Brand Owners / Vendors / Suppliers - Pricing, Merchandizing, Visibility, Listing, Trade Schemes etc.

- Analyse the regional performance and provide meaningful insight on price investment and competitiveness of assortment

- Identify and Lead Working Capital Improvement opportunities / plans / actions for the Vertical

Processes / Automation:

- Develop and implement processes commensurate with size, scale, complexity and business needs Champion simplification, standardization and automation opportunities and lead these projects
