About the Role :
This role is responsible for managing all the operations activities related to Grocery Fulfillment in respective zones.
This role broadly covers the following aspects:
- End to end accountability of the operations and performance of all the assets and people in the Zone
- Balance multiple conflicting priorities of scale increase, Metrics performance and Cost optimization and achieve the targets in each area as decided in the annual plan
- Analyze and plan for future requirements for the zone in alignment with policies and stakeholders.
- Work with central teams on planning and budgeting to achieve optimum performance for the zone
About the Team :
- In 2018, Flipkart launched Supermart - Flipkart's online grocery store, delivers Staples, Snacks & Beverages, Packaged Food, Personal Care, Baby Care, Household items, Dairy and Eggs.
- The Grocery Supply Chain team manages the Inventory and Distribution Supply Chain Network which comprises Fulfillment Centers and last mile hub to reach customers.
You are responsible for :
- Lead a large Fulfillment center with 800+ employees and be accountable for end to end planning, operations and performance management of the facility
- Accountable for performance metrics on Customer experience, Reliability, Cost and Process controls. Identify root causes / improvement areas and work collaboratively to improve performance.
- Drive the selection and implementation of process improvement and cost optimization projects by analyzing the Performance Metrics with a vision to enhance customer experience Identifying training and development needs; and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of on roll team members.
- Ensure the execution of Operations in line with SOPs.
- Oversee entire operations and processes and give guidance to the team to deliver key business results with "Owner's mindset".
- Create engaging environment for teams and support functions while maintaining an inclusive mindset.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following :
- Preferably Engineer with or MBA
- Relevant experience required
- Relevant knowledge and experience in Grocery operations
- Proven experience in Planning, Problem Solving, Innovation, Stakeholder Management and data-based working.
- Strong and diverse portfolio showcasing experience across a variety of mediums, including e-commerce, supply chain, FMCG and retail.
