About the Role:
The Manager role in the Growth team is focussed towards generating demand and enhancing customer experience by carrying out several strategic initiatives. The person needs to plan the assortment to match demand patterns and best suited to the localized customer preferences. They need to understand the growth drivers and work closely with the teams such as Category, Planning, Supply Chain and Marketing to drive business growth.
About the team:
The Growth team at Flipkart will have the responsibility of propelling customer acquisition and enhancing customer value in order to drive growth for the Hyperlocal business.
You are Responsible for:
Planning:
- To build a bottom-up short term and the long term demand & supply plan factoring in the inputs from Flipkart central planning and category teams
- Work with the team members within the category and in external support functions to execute on strategic objectives
- Plan localized assortment and festive assortment to improve product offering
- Closely monitors the business metrics and alters the plan as required
Growth:
- Drive growth of the business through horizontal customer initiatives such as acquisition, retention, cross-sell and increasing the wallet-share
- Design, Incubate and Scale new Organic / Inorganic new growth engines for the business
- Identify local demand pockets and define initiatives to drive business growth by tapping into them
Category Marketing:
- Work with the marketing team to launch & scale digital brand & performance marketing campaigns.
Customer Experience
- Drive initiatives with the product & merchandising teams to improve the buying experience of the customer right from pre-purchase decision making to delivery
People:
- Manage a diverse team
- Build a culture of innovation, self motivation & organization first mindset
- Mentor and groom the team
- Be an inspirational leader for the team & a thought leader for the BU
- To succeed in this role - you should have the following
Educational background :
- Graduation, MBA is preferred
- Work experience of 4+ years
- Should have a strong understanding of the market
- Prior experience in Category Management or Growth Marketing is preferred
Experience/Skills required:
- Strong program management skills, multi-tasking ability & interpersonal communication - ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical orientation and customer understanding
- Strong problem solving skills and highly data driven
- Understanding of marketing and category planning is a must
- Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion
- Must be willing to learn & develop ecommerce way of thinking
- Strong bias for Action - Flipkart works at a very rapid pace
