Proposal Manager
As the Proposal Manager for our EdTech division, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and submission of proposals for educational technology projects. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management and communication skills. The Proposal Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of high-quality proposals that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proposal Development:
- Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, ensuring the production of compelling and high-quality proposals for EdTech projects.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and technical teams to gather information and develop comprehensive proposals.
2. RFP/RFI Response:
- Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFI) documents to understand client requirements.
- Develop a strategic approach for responding to RFPs, including outlining response strategies, creating timelines, and assigning responsibilities.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and technical teams to gather necessary information and insights for proposal content.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure the alignment of proposed solutions with client needs.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough reviews of proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client requirements.
- Implement best practices for proposal writing and presentation, ensuring a polished and professional final product.
5. Knowledge Management:
- Maintain a repository of proposal content, templates, and boilerplate language for efficient and consistent proposal development.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and best practices in EdTech to enhance proposal content.
6. Proposal Tracking and Reporting:
- Implement a system for tracking proposals, providing regular updates on proposal status, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Generate reports on proposal outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and success metrics.
7. Client Engagement:
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and incorporate feedback into proposal development.
- Participate in client presentations and meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in proposal management, preferably in the EdTech industry.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with educational technology trends and solutions.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
