Research - Existing companies :

- Study and analyze sectors under coverage and include in universe companies determined to be creditworthy to invest in.

- The decision to invest has to be made after thorough due diligence both quantitative (involving analyzing the industry dynamics, business model, peer comparison, financial analysis of the last 3 year's annual reports) and qualitative (management quality and promoter assessment)

- Mutual funds work on a zero NPA philosophy since a day's delay is considered equivalent to a default unlike banks and NBFCS.

Research - New companies :

- Keep scouting for new investment avenues by identifying and setting up limits for companies which are not currently in the investment universe.

- Explore various structures and covenants with companies to protect the interests of the investors and strengthen the credit profile of investment.

Fund Management :

- Design and manage portfolios that generate competitive risk adjusted returns according to the portfolio mandate.

- Continuously identify macro economic trends to form a long, medium and short term view and position the portfolio to encash on yield curve dislocations and expected trends in credit spreads.

Investment Process :

- Even after the initial credit limit has been set up, the analyst continuously is to track the company and alert in case of any event that could impact the credit worthiness of the company.

- This is done via regular management meetings, conference calls, analysing quarterly and annual financial details culminating in revalidating the credit limits already in place.

- Upon expiry of the limit, a revalidation process is carried out which is akin to a new introduction into the debt universe.

Compliance and Risk Management :

- Maintain compliance and give suggestions to enhance current processes or introduce new processes and adhere to debt manual and all other specified processes for credit research
