Finops Engineer

Position Summary:

(S)he is responsible for building and automating financial and operational workflows, design future state end to end analytical workflows, define System of Records and support the creation of competitive data sources for the client. The PE FinOps Engineer works closely with the CFO function, accounting, treasury, digital and investor relations teams.

Job Responsibilities :

- Works with accounting, reporting, treasury and investor relations to model end to end financial workflows.

- Designs, implements, and maintains automation models in Anaplan, Investran, DealCloud and Power BI.

- Reconciles data from various sources and research variances.

- Assists in designing, implementing, and maintaining client's Anaplan solution footprint.

- Supports functional requirement definition, Agile backlog definition and grooming and implementation strategy.

- Supports the definition of client's Anaplan, Business Intelligence and FinOps target architecture.

- Works actively with operational and reporting data stewards to create data controls, identify & execute measurement definitions, and actively measures compliance by producing recurring reports/dashboards.

- Captures data transformation requirements, quality rules, and source system details for entry into a metadata repository along with maintaining an accurate enterprise critical report library

- Collaborates with the digital engineering team on data integration and cloud enablement.

- Supports development efforts using Agile / Scrum practices

Preferred Qualifications:

- 4+ years relevant experience in private market finance, accounting, and treasury.

- BS Finance and/or technical function or related disciplines. MS degree is a plus.

- Strong grasp and experience of private equity financials workflows such as waterfall calculations, tax forecasting, and model building a must.

- Experience with private market systems such as Investran, Hazeltree and DealCloud a plus.

- Prior experience with accounting data is a plus.

- Knowledge of private markets terminology is a plus.

- Prior experience with financial planning and analysis is a plus.

- Prior experience with digital tools such as Anaplan, Power BI / Azure, Alteryx a plus.

- Anaplan certifications is a plus.
