Financial Reporting, Governance & Treasury :
- Timely closing, consolidation, management reporting and statutory audits of the India entities
- Providing strategic financial direction to business
- Commercial Finance, FP&A, Transformation
- Coordinating with the BU to ensure synergies for maximizing efficiency of treasury functions including funds management
- Manage all tax, audit and regulatory compliance requirements in India market (tax compliance, transfer pricing, GST implementation, other changing laws)
- Ensuring timely financial support for various projects
- Effectively develop and manage relations with Bankers and Auditors for ensuring smooth operations
- Liaise with Group Treasury, Tax, Credit and Corporate Finance functions to ensure India's activities are consistent with our global procedures and practices
- Work to enhance internal control environment and segregation of duties where possible throughout India business
Taxation - Direct and Indirect :
- To ensure appropriate financial standards and compliance to all statutory requirements regarding direct and indirect taxes. Also to ensure timely tax assessments and submissions.
- Oversee and lead the implementation of GST
- Monitor changes in Tax legislation e.g. proposed Goods and Service Tax, determine and oversee implementation of any necessary changes to the operations of India to maintain compliance.
- Oversee liaison between India and tax authorities to ensure consistency of approach and proportionality of response.
- Initiate and organize tax reporting procedures to ensure maximum cash flow advantage to the entity
- Manage and control internal and external audits with respect to all tax matters including Tax Audits, Transfer Pricings and tax compliances.
- Liaise with Group Tax functions to ensure India's tax activities are consistent with global tax procedures and practices and result in accurate tax reporting internally and externally.
Secretarial and Others :
- Increase sales effectiveness
- Run the business and business support - has significant influence on business decisions and strategic direction
- Company Secretary for India legal entity
- Interact with India businesses to encourage consistent financial practices within India and assist to increase sales effectiveness.
- Organize training, as necessary, across India to ensure employees are familiar with relevant legislative requirements, as well as finance policies and procedures.
- Read contractual agreements and be the signer of various contracts and legal documents supporting business activities
- Review and liaise insurance needs of the company including developing and managing relations with insurance companies and brokers/consultants
Organizational Development :
- Develop the India Finance Organization such that most of the regular compliance and routine tasks, including monthly close and reporting is largely shifted to other resources. This includes balance sheet management and pricing processes
- Attract and retain talent so Finance org is fully staffed
- Develop succession planning for top three roles in team
- Motivates team to overcome barriers and drive for solution

Educational Qualification :
- Chartered Accountant (CA) both mandatory with relevant experience along with team management experience.
