Position: Finance Controller

Location: Mumbai

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Managing Director

Industry: Chemical Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Controller Duties:

- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.

- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Monitor financial performance against the budget, identify variances, and develop action plans.

- Cost Control and Optimization: Develop and implement cost-control strategies, especially related to raw material procurement and production processes. Optimize working capital and cash flow management.

- Internal Controls: Ensure strong internal financial controls and processes are in place to mitigate risks. Conduct regular reviews and audits to enhance transparency and accountability.

- Compliance and Taxation: Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings, financial audits, and corporate governance.

- Financial Strategy: Partner with the leadership team to drive financial strategy and support long-term business goals through capital allocation, investment planning, and funding options.

- ERP Systems and Financial Tools: Manage the integration of ERP systems and other financial tools for better reporting and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education: CA/CPA or MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution.

Experience: 10+ years in finance management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior finance role, ideally within the manufacturing or chemical industry.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Skills:

- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to forecast and anticipate market trends.
