Experience
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services
- Expert knowledge of Accounting Standards and Indian GAAP requirements
- Understanding of Capital Markets & various Segments
- Advanced level knowledge of Direct taxes
- Advanced level knowledge of Accounting Software, Microsoft Office and ERP Systems
- Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Oral)
- To be able to liaise effectively with Senior stakeholders to achieve shared goals
- Analytical Thinking
- Expertise in Risk Management and Mitigation
- Operating level knowledge of IFRS - Preferred
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Create, review and maintain frameworks enabling accurate accounting, reporting, analysis, risk control, appropriate escalation and visibility of the larger picture in the SBU/Group
- Review and Sign off on Financial and Regulatory Processes.
- In depth and thorough business understanding; Effective partnering with business to meet business needs
- Assume unflinching ownership in financial control for the group/business/entity
- Ensure complete understanding of business MIS and Corporate MIS; extend this understanding to ensure and implement accurate financial reporting
- Close highest level of Audit and Inspection queries and replies.
- Manage diverse teams and ensure healthy team dynamics at work place; commensurate and timely recruitment of team members
- Create Back-up Plans, Risk Mitigation and BCP Plans for the Entity / Processes.
- Own Technology Projects, manage resources & facilitate smooth closure.
- Mentor/Coach team to achieve broader objectives - Incorporate Team aspect.
- Represent the LOB/SBU/Organization at appropriate internal/external forums.
